PS Vita NAT Type

4 Replies 1,381 Views Created 24-02-2012

Hi guys, I'm having trouble playing my games online, as my internet connection is NAT Type 3, which is strange because my PS3 and PSP are Type 2. I'm not a technically minded person so if anyone could help me, it would be very much appreciated!

Re: PS Vita NAT Type

I'm having the same problems and it stays on nat type 3 even when I unblock the ports vita uses. I'm having problems getting a location in near and maps but everything else seems to work ok with nat type 3. I think near and maps have a software bug because my mate has nat type 2 and he can't use them.

You mention unblocking the ports? Whats that and how do I do that?

Re: PS Vita NAT Type

Opening ports and enabling uPNPm on router may help. These are the ports :
TCP: 80, 443, 5223
UDP: 5223, 3478, 3479, 3658

Taken from this guide :
http://community.us.playstation.com/thread/3025578?start=0&tstart=0

It's PS3 specific but the router parts later are still appropriate.

Rotor.
