Nope. DLC only works with PSN accounts from the same country/region.
I thought in cases of DLC Sony bundled Australia in with Europe.

Well, I'm from the UK, and I speak a bunch of European languages, also, I travel a lot and luckily for us UK users, the 3G isn't locked, and so we can use other providers.
So far I've had games from Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, England, Austrailia but NOT the US! The games there are overpriced.
The PS Vita is the same as the PS3, it's Region-free (a quote from here; The term “region free” refers either to a DVD which can be played anywhere in the world, on any player, or to a DVD player which is capable of handling discs from anywhere. This term is also used to describe game consoles and games in some areas of the world. Consumers may opt to purchase region free products so that they have more access to products they are interested in, and some manufacturers choose to produce region free goods to appeal to more consumers.). This lets you boot the game and play it, and Extra Content is Extra, and is not covered by the "Region Free" buisness
You can forget about Online Passes and DLC and importing, they don't work well together, and also, unfortunately, SCE has decided to make the PS Vita only use one PSN account at a time, however, I registered my PSN account without credit card details, so it's more than possible without having a friend or family risk giving their credit card details!
EB Games and GAME has an online store, they WILL ship to you and if you cba to give them your details, ask for delivery and pay upon reciept. This way not only will you save yourself hassle of walking to the nearest store, or ordering and waiting, but the guy in the van will come to your house within' an hour, and you'll have the game!
Add my PSN, MuzzaHukka, and we can talk about all stuff importing!

Ok, what about buying an imported game attaching it to my psn account then download activated/purchased dlc, will the dlc work? Wipeout 2048 American version, NZ psn account.
A US import game will work with your NZ account but dlc won't, as the dlc is for a different region.
Like AUS NZ comes under Scee region.

Muttykins, there are Austraillian releases of games, but their not European versions, but yet how is DLC downloaded? There is no Engilish- Austrailia on the system, they use English - United Kingdom. Can I use Austrailian online passes and game codes on a UK account? There isn't a region for AU on PSN, or is there?

Sure am disappointed that the DLC will continue to get region locked,
Sony only hurting customers since lots of people buy Vita and import games from Japan.
Being stuck on Hatsune Miku Project Diva f sure was annoying as i will never be able to buy its DLC
since i got no japanese psn account nor can use another psn account.
