Vita problems

Ok I bought my vita online and I got it two maybe three days after release. I've had no problems with it till now. I was playing it earlier today when all a sudden the screen turned black and unresponsive let it die or go to the low battery point were it just shuts down and then I plugged it up to charge and a little while later it turned on on its own with the screen still blacked out. No buttons work not the volume or even the ps button (which is blue and that's how I know its on.) I have no clue what happened and I wish I did. But as I said I was just playing it when the screen blacked out the sound went out but the ps button was still blue. What should I do?

have you tried to hold down the "on" button for approx 30 seconds? My unit has frozen a couple times (the blue light continually flashes and nothing seems to work), but holding down the power on button for about 30 seconds works.

As to the wifi... try and restart the router - maybe a couple devices are using the same address and are clashing?

I've noticed something funny with mine since yesterday...
I put it into sleep mode & then at random times, i notice the blue PS light come on, stay on for around 1 minute then flash for a second or two, & then back off. Rinse & repeat.
Does anybody else have the same issue or know why it would be doing this?

Offline i thought, but if my wi-fi is still on, you're saying that could be the cause?
Thanks! that just may be the reason I'm thinking now. I'll make sure it's off when not in use & hopefully I see a difference.

Apparently that isn't the cause either. I turned wi-fi off completely & it's still happening.

Is there something wrong with it?

do you have Near automatic updates on? It sounds like it's running a process every now and then, could be the Near updates.

the most common problem forme is memory failure. This happens when to much things are done at a time.

To solve this problem you will have to go on the safe screen (aka lock screen or start screen) and hold the (') button (imitation) for 30 seconds.

If the button is working in Safe mode but not anywhere else, it may be worth trying to restore the PS Vita System and see if the issue persists.

If it does let us know or contact our Support Centre for further assistance.

I too have a problem with my vita. It is phatom joysticking.  It happens every once in awhile when i am playing a game the menus will scroll to the bottom and it won't allow my to scroll up. Also on certain games like  Drakes deception and dome other titles ill notice my camra get stuck on the ground and no matter what buttons I push it wont adjust. It does it in Vahalla knights III. I love this machine but this bug has be driving me mad almost since I bought it. Which was a year ago in December.

Hi elijah3699,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your PS Vita. :(

Is this issue happening accross multiple games, or is it just the one game in which you are having issues? Are the buttons/thumbsticks working fine in other applications?

It may be best to contact our support centre to try and troubleshoot this issue.
