Err, sorry about that. Internet connexion must have messed up with it.

Anyway, what I wanted to know was whether it is possible to set up remote play from another country. I'm abroad for more than three years and my brother, who is still in good ole Blighty, has inherited my PS3. Now that one can actually play games such as God of War, I was wondering if I could set it up while being a few thousand miles away from home?

In principle this can be done but the game will be almost unplayble due to control lag and you'll probably get a lot of network drops. It works OK around the house, connecting to the PS3 over the internet is best reserved for video and music streaming. Possibly non-realtime games might be OK but there aren't too many to choose from with remote play yet.

In practice, just buy another PS3 whereever you are (or take the one you left behind - it'll still work).

So now I've cleared that up, I'm sure we can all agree that was a hilarious link, after all, the best jokes have to be explained using dictionary references and links to community groups :Stupid:

yes that is right, you must be logged in on the same account on both devices. and to add to the other persons comment, you must hook them up via USB first, so you can not do it without being in the same room at somepoint. And then the lag would be bad, but not so bad, i was in finland and could play some ps1 games ok from my house in the UK.
