I do own a Vita and yes I'm happy with my purchase.

I haven't had it long enough to know anything memorable on there.

I'm not sure it's actually failed, and tbh we're to blame and the U.S. We're just not big on handheld's unlike Japan. As we're still seeing games released. Even more so, recently.

For its features allowing you to play great games on the go and remote play is a plus!

That it's one if the best handheld's for JRPG fans I think.

I miss mine.

Still, can't find them new or in decent condition so it's not happening.

Is it officially dead yet? I mean no stock of console or even games in most places.

Still own a Vita 2nd Gen; was massively satisfied in the beginning as it was to replace the dying X360 before I could afford a PS4; however, it's used more of a gap-filler nowadays or when my brain just wants simplicity.

The best games are definitely the ones that do one (or both) of 2 things: 1, keep memories of older games alive / 2, keep you interested; titles such as Need For Speed, FFX HD, God of War HD collection, Borderlands 2 and now World of FF.

It failed on only a few of things really: it wasn't really pushed by Sony or made attractive to developers so there was little in the way of range; and the fact that button support wasn't made a priority--I've recently bought a HORI Remote Play Assistant and tbh, it never comes off, even when L2/R2 aren't needed--so certain games suffered; and finally... the memory cards... No further detail is needed on that one.

The successes came from its obvious portable... ness, amongst others like unique AAA games and remote play.

Ultimately, I would put the Vita in the same "remembrance" collection as the Wii U as they were both potentially very successful consoles; however, they were equally as left-out-in-the-cold by their parents.

I'd say more so with the Vita. Given the prices of the proprietary memory cards. Sure they were lowered some what, but they weren't competitively priced to SD cards which the Wii U could use and so could the 3ds. But that said, I think that Nintendo just mis-marketed it in part. People thought it was an add on for the Wii originally. Combine that with the lack of third party games, and it kind of sealed the Wii U's fate.

  • Did you own a Vita? If so, are you satisfied with your purchase?

Yep! Yea I am. It's not perfect but I've had fun with it and I'm glad that some games that are out for the PS4 are also available via Vita.

  • What PS Vita games do you find the most memorable?

RPG's. As for specific ones, Rainbow Moon has been pretty fun, so has World of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Builders and Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth.

  • In what ways did the Vita fail to you?

The bad pricing for the proprietary memory cards. That's the Vita's biggest issue in my opinion.

  • In what ways was the Vita a success to you?

The fact that I can game on the go with a nicely built system. And there are quite a few nice games out there for it.

  • What is PlayStation Vita's legacy?

That it's a good system for RPG gamers and it's one that'll last awhile given its decent build quality.

I've still got my 1st gen Vita, which I love, with it's lovely OLD screen. It's sitting in great condition in it's case on my bedside table.

My favourite game (check out my profile pic for those in the know) is Persona 4 Golden.

One thing I've never used it for is remote play, strangely.

One of the main reasons it struggled, I believe is the pricing of the memory cards which is ridiculous considering how much memory your actually getting for your money.
