I checked out Wii u and it looked pretty nice with tv output, hdmi, the hardware , 1080p video playback and the games lineup too including batman, assassins creed. It kinda got me worried about the vita :/. i know its too soon to tell, but whatcha think ?
Solved! Go to solution
why are you comparing thw wii u to the vita when ones a portable hand held games console and ones a home console with a controller with a built in display

Didn't know that :Stupid:
PS-VITA + PS3 = Wii u
Somehow.
Vita can be used as a controller soon as announced in E3. There will hopefully be complete remote play , many games announced do have it. So yes it can do mostly what wii u can AND its a portable device.
Ps 3 + vta = more that wii u xD
It was only shown as a controller for the PS3 version of LittleBigPlanet 2 and there has been no indication it's going to be a standard feature across the board. It's certainly something Sony isn't promoting. Also complete remote isn't going to happen so I wouldn't get your hopes up. I don't know where you got the idea most game shave it as they don't unless you're referring to cross play which is a totally different feature set.

Don't feel too bad.... Even professional video game commentators and one US chat show host have referred to the WiiU as a Wii addon controller.
Ninty haven't been clear what it is they're selling - I'm beginning to wonder if there is still doubt in Nintendo about this direction.... I guess it could be like the 3DS - people can't tell from the name that it is something much different to the old DS.
With Ninty's newfound market of grey gamers, the name and positioning of the Wii U come launch are going to be confusing.
Rotor.
I take it you didn't watch either the Nintendo Direct Presentation or the main Nintendo press conference at E3 then as they made it very clear during those exactly what the Wii U is about and how it works. There will be more promotions and more information given out between now and the launch.

Actually I watched both, live. They were equally poor at describing what it is Nintendo want ot sell. Throughout both presentations, reference was made to the Wii U tablet/WiiU without any nod to the console and what it's details are.
Either way, my opinion isn't releveant as an individual - I'm much better informed than 90% of Nintendo's current customers about gaming in general. Reality is that plenty of people are confused - Nintendo cannot seem to clarify for the general potential purchaser out there (and Nintendo's market isn't really traditional console gamers anymore) what it is they're selling and why they'd buy it.

I disagree. It was quite clear what the console is about and how it works. No they didn't mention actual specifications but that's not neccessary in introducing a new console and how it works. I also disagree that the majority of people interested in the Wii U including Nintendo fans and die hards are confused. Last year at E3 when they first announced it their presentation was very poor and confusing with not even the press and hard core gamers sure about what it was and how it worked. They rectified it with this years E3 with their two press conferences and as mentioned their special E3 web site. Also like I said there will be more clarification over the next few months. Besides E3 isn't geared towards the casual gamer and general consumer and they will put their points across regards the new console through various promotions and advertising.

I can foresee many people bringing back the WiiU cause they thought theWiiU tablet was a tablet or portable console and they're angry it wouldn't work on the go.
i think wii u but dont tell sony 1 add me: <a href="http://eu.playstation.com/psn/profile/Dtl2001/"><img src="http://mypsn.eu.playstation.com/psn/profile/Dtl2001.png" border="0" /></a>
P.S sony please make a plug in tv thing:ScaredPumpkin:
I'll laugh a lot (or cry?) when all the "casuals" Nintendo built their success on will bring back the consoles to the shop as defective as the "handheld" sold with the console doesn't work when the kids are at school or when the parents are on the move in the bus or waiting at the doctor's.
And anyway the "casuals" will hate having to switch from the big screen to the small one again and again in all the games and even more having to use a touch screen when they loved the Wiimote/nunchuk that brought a new way to have fun.
The wii u controller doesn't look the most comfy thing ever...
I disagree, it looks a damn site more ergonomic than dualshock or the Vita.
I don't really have a problem with the Vita like I did the PSP, but its still not very ergonomic, as it wouldn't fit in your pocket very well if it was.
I think wii u will beat psvita to dead, not that I don't like psvita.I just bought 1 for my own in recent months .And I really enjoy playing it.But there is only 9 or 10 game available in my country and no one can jailbreak it yet(it may be illegal, but I really wish for jailbreak).Who will buy psvita to play just 10 games??But you may said that "Now ps vita can run ps one,psp games and some mini games."(yes, that pretty cool)But how can psvita owner possibly buy that games who live in the region where playstation services are not available??And I love ps 3 game and I hope ps 3 game will run on ps vita on his own;who think you have to buy ps3 to run and install game for ps vita online,I mean that it really suck. Not that mean I can afford that, even with the prices of psvita cards I bought for my psvita, with that I can buy two more psvita.Sorry if any of my word rude to you,I hope playstaion have some plan in his sleeves to regain customer trust or else I just have to sell or get refund from shop for my psvita and go buy wii u.
