How to retrieve data from a YLOD hard drive

5 Replies 2,803 Views Created 11-09-2009

Its FRIDAY!!!!......... Yeah!!

Anyway,

Have you suffered from the YLOD?

Did you have everything on that PS3 Hard Drive?

Did you go out and purchase a Slim?

Do you want all your data back?

If the answer is yes to all these questions then you need:

Hey Slim! I wont let you wipe my data!

Once you take out your Hard Drive from your YLOD PS3, connect it up to this, plug the USB into your Slim, the Slim will see the Hard Drive on the XMB then you can take what you want from the old drive! Simple!

Never loose your data again!

Sorry if odd...

I'm pretty sure that doesn't work.

A HDD formatted by one PS3 cannot be read by another PS3 without first being formatted.

Lol that won't work mate, any USB connected drives should be FAT32 because that's the only thing the PS3 will be looking for via USB. Anything that's not FAT32 is ignored.
