Ok, I think PS+ is very tempting, infact its more than tempting.
- 1h full game trials instead of demos
- Early access to demos
- Exclusive/early access to betas
- Automatic updates (though I don't need this one)
- Free downloadable content which stays after the subscription has ended (avatars, themes, mappack DLCs (if I remember correctly))
- Cloud storage for game saves (anything other?)
- 1-4(?) free games per month which you can play as long as you have PS+ subscription and have access to them again if you renew your subscription after your subscription has ended long time ago.
- Discounts for PS Store purchases
Even if not, those features and perks are quite good for just only 50€ per year (right?) for such a service.
But here is the thing, I'm not that avid Store user/customer so I basicly lose those discounts on the get go if I don't "commit" as a consumer even though Sony has those prepaid cards (Now that Sony and Valve are close together, could Sony ask Valve to create similiar prepaid cards for Steam).
Other problem would also be that I could get games that I already own or have no interest in playing them.
But the good part would be that I could test and play games that I wouldn't have ever considered to play before and might even like them and expand my own gaming preferences from action/adventure based games.
But also comes the bad part that I would get free mappacks or similiar to games that I don't own or don't even want to buy.
I see pros and I see cons but the thing I hate is wasting money on something which I would never really use or get any use out of. (Offtopic: And I hate that 1$=1€, its not)
So, anything to add or correct? I would like to subscripe because PS+ seems really fair deal but I still have this mind set to not subscripe because I hate subscriptions (due to WoW, CoDElite and similiar "services").

I have been a PS+ subscriber since day 1 and although I have been given a few games I already owned on disk I dont care because I just trade in the disk and get money for it
Cload saves is great as I switch between consoles
And some months I don't even download anything but others I download everything depends what it offers and what I like.
Take a 3 month sub if your not sure you don't loose much then if you don't like it,
If you let you sub expire Sony have the right to refuse you access to the free games off you previous sub.

well i bought it cause im a resident evil fan and when code veronica came out they were offering it half price for ps+ subscribers. I was going to cancel recently but the last couple weeks they have been pretty generous and given away resident evil 2 and 3, and trine 2 amongst others so i've held on to it.
If you do get it though, check every week, and 'tag' the free stuff ie add it to your download list and then stop the download, even if you dont want to download it straight away.

it'll normally tell you in the description on the store if it's yours to keep forever or only while you're a ps+ members.

PS+ has been great for me.
I subscribed to it on day one and before PS+ I very rarely bough any games from the PS Store, but now I have a lot of great games downloaded and most of them for free or at a discounted price.
I for one will definitely continue my Plus membership for as long as Sony keep it going.
