have developers forgot about sixaxis??

38 Replies 1,580 Views Created 24-11-2010

i know playstation move is out but i dont really have the space for it,

i thought gt5 would support sixaxis but i have thought wrong

the only games i have played with sixaxis is the old f1 game and heavy rain

you would have thought game developers would have tried to come up with somthing to show off their skills as much as making the game more enjoyable for some

i'm not complaining,

just curious to why some game developers havent even attempted using it

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

I don't know what sixaxis support we can expect in the future, probably very little.

However, if you've only played two games why not go back and try some older games that have support. Heavenly Sword, Flower, Flow, Warhawk and WipeoutHD all utilise sixaxis with varying degrees of success.

I've been wondering the same. There's no point in having something like sixaxis if its not used!

Its not a massive feature, but its cool, and its one that everyone would have.. unlike Move. The last game I remember playing which used sixaxis is Killzone 2. And that was only to arm some explosives and turn a few valves..

*edit

I can only think of two games that really took advantage of sixaxis, Warhawk and Lair.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

Killzone 2 has some, but very little Sixaxis.

I'm not surprised really, Sixaxis is a pile of poo.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

Never seen the attraction with Sixaxis, got PS Move with my PS3 aswell, don't see the point of it.

If I wanted to play bowling/tennis/table tennis/frisby I would go out and do it, gaming is for sitting on the sofa 'til 2am. I understand some people may like it but it's one of them things I've played once and probably won't play again.

I was however impressed with the Move accuracy and HD graphics (compared to the Wii).

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

never found it enjoyable. It was a bit of a novelty at first, i didnt even know about it until i bought a ps3, 'oh thats cool'

But i just grumble when a game requires me to use it now.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

I wish they'd employ it in more driving games, I liked using it in Motorstorm, even though it made it that little bit harder.
