Hi there, 1st time in the PS network forums, so please, don't be hard on me...
Ok, my problem is when i'm playing in Multiplayer or in Zombie mode. I'm loosing my sound, it become inaudible, kinda very very very sacadic (choping noise?). its the same if i,m using my new PS3 7.1 virtual surround sound & Bassimpact Wireless stereo headset Elite Edition OR my Speakers...
That is really bad when, exemple, you are at level 13-14 on zombie mode and it start. You can't ear any zombies nearby or in Multiplayer mode, you can't ear people nearby too...
What can i do?
PS3 (the last system on sale) is updated.
Its not just you a lot of people been getting this, it the game not your console.hopefully a patch will be released to fix it plus the freezing issue when in lobby.
If as No_Name_No_Brain says this is affecting lots of users then a patch will be issued to fix it. I will see what I can find out in the mean time.
yeah "if it is affecting lots of users"...... it is.
but not enough according to activision who want to try to tell me its my hardware.....
so our hardware is apparently the reason we are experianceing this problem, on the exact same game in the exact same spots with the exact same sound.
and even if theres only 50 of us in the whole ps3 community.... thats $50-$150 (150 in my case with collectors edition)
i dont care if me and that guy above are the only 2. fix the game that we payed for.
should have switched when the play station support world showed its true colors with the anon/geohotz debacle.
unhelpful, uncaring and more interested in selling copies then properly making them.
i hate x,box and i "loved" my playstation.... but ill be damned if ill have my money stolen in exchange for the promise of a good game
thank god its on here as i kept thinking it was my console because i play online black ops 2 and during game (multiplayer) the chopping noise appears, when in game lobby no sound what so ever but clear as day you can still hear people speaking on headsets. so i am relieved its not my console thanks.
I'm having exactly the same problem, at first I thought it might be due to my ps3 as it is the old 60gb version that still has ps2 backwards compatability. But it seems this bug is also on the latest models as well.
I've tried adjusting the audio levels in game and using my headphones but it seems the only way to stop the problem is to quit Blackops 2 and reload it. Please patch soon :)
i'm having the same problem too - sound just kicks out and goes all choppy and sounds like static on a radio.....this game is BUGGY!'
and i have a newer system - not an old one.
Everybody get on activison support and email them your issue, the only way to get a patch is for a crap load of people to tell them about the problem. tell them exactly when the sound crashed and as many details about what you where doing when it happened. for me it happens most often in the zombies tranzit mode. i dont think i have ever been able to play without it glitching at some point.
I am experiencing this problem too, very very annoying.Especially when you are on like level 20 zombies and you can no longer hear the bus coming and going or zombies coming from behind!!This needs sorting out among other problems!
For everyone out there thats having problems with the sound on Black Ops 2 using hdmi i have a simple fix for the sound issues if you go to your display settings in your ps3 and use the avi that normally comes with the ps3 and setting that as your video and audio on the ps3 this will fix the issues with the sound did this myself and worked minute i loaded the game sound works HAPPY PLAYING
hello all its me again found yet another sound fix for black ops 2 witch allows u to us both hdmi video and avi sound heres the steps u will need to follow connect avi to ps3 and tv leave hdmi conected go to sound settings then allow then to audio output settings and use (audio input connector/scart/av multi) when u save that got to (audio multi output) turn this on. and then u will be able to play black ops 2 with hdmi video and avi audio sound works great. only tryed this setup after i saw what black ops 2 looked like with avi video so i was like nope not playing like that so heres the fix for the sound. w/out limiting the graphics to avi (ENJOY)
I am also having this issue. It only happens with Black Ops 2. Just out of the blue I start getting a popping sound, makes hard to play multiplayer and Zombies. Did it once in the past month till a few days ago now atleast 2 or 3 times a day.
The way you did it doesn't work for me. I have always used the avi cords and this chopping noise still happens often enough to be a pain. I am waiting for the patch from activision to fix this problem.
FOUND A FIX. Ok I called activision... They really didn't help. So I pursued other options. The fix is simple: CLEAN YOUR DISC. I don't mean just wipe it off. Rinse it with water and then dry it off very well. I did such and played hours yesterday with no problems. The gentleman above presented some sort of fix, and I will tell you from my own personal experience that it doesn't work. I am on ps3 with an avi cable connector and I tried it and it did not do any thing. In fact it may have made things worse..... BUT! Off topic, my solution seems to work. Good luck!
