My ps3 wasn't shutting down it just had the green blinking light but never actually turned of so I had to manually turn it off. That of course resulted in it needing to do a file system restore.once it does it the ps3 doesn't restart itself like it should after it hits the 100% mark screen goes black but the ps3 never actually restarts.it just has the solid green light which then forces me to manually restart it and doing the same thing again leaving me in an endless loop.
I should note the problem where the ps3 doesn't turn off and just has the blinking green light that gives the appearance its turning off instead it just remains that way is something that has been happening frequent but the system restore has always worked on startup and fixed it.
This is a whole new problem for me I have never heard of any ps3 having this problem so im stuck on what to do.

Are you able to boot the PS3 into Safe Mode?
If you can then try running "Rebuild Database". Let me know if you have any luck!
my ps3 isnt working because everytime i turn it on it come up with 'the file system on the system storage is corrupted and will be restored' it shows OK i press the x button and it takes about 10 minutes to get to 100% after that it goes blank it goes off and the green light on the system is still on, does anyone know how to solve the problem
