Really hope the browser get's updated soon, because it's gotten to the point where only a handful of website's(Not even this one,, or PlayStation Blog) work anywhere near properly on the PS3's browser.
youtube needs adobe flash player and the playstation can use youtube website i would of thought the playstation will be compatible with adobe flash player soon
Yeah, the Youtube logo doesn't display properly and you can't watch HQ or HD videos on the PS3's browser.
On the plus side Youtube XL(A version of Youtube for PS3 and Wii) no longer has lag and slowdown that can rival PES 2008 online, and actually works quite well now.
But i still prefer the normal version of Youtube because you can't view video comments on XL.
yeah that is you but lucky us that it is not only you on the PSN !!! i cant pay for a PC AND a PS3, so i had to choose and i made the right decission because there was sayd it would be a multimedia station with a webbrowser and now i get a half functional browser? so next time try to not just think about the lucky ones like you who CAN pay it but also all the people out there like me who CANT !!!!! yeah its really starting to get on my nerves too. quite a MULTI media station we bought ourselves if the most flash content whats now on the www cant be played?????????? sure in first place the ps3 is ment to play ps3 games (and that is going VERY WEL) BUT they also call it a !!!MULTIMEDIA STATION!!! and much gamers out there know that if theres a web browser on the system we wanna use it FULLY !!! and im sick of running between PC and PS3 and im not the only one !!! The browser really needs to be updated, and not just a minor update, a FW3.0-style update is what's needed, since even YouTube doesn't display properly, and even though FW3.10 brought 'Facebook Integration', Facebook itself still looks like a car crash from the uncensored version of Burnout Paradise.
it's been about a year since they said they was going to update the forums so that it would work again on the PS3 and we are still waiting lol
The only reason the PS3 has a web browser is because the store use to use it and now that the store has it's new application I can't see them updating the web browser. But it would be nice :)

the browser may be rubbish, but wouldn't it be nice if we could have a powerful console with full access to the internet, instead of having to have the addition of a computer. computers are great if you want to do your homework.. for years pc's have had the capability of all the features including gaming, why can't we now have a console that has the ability to also function as a pc
