Hi All,
I guess this has been posted many times before. I tried to search for similar topics in the forums but could not find any. Anyways, apologies if this is a repeat post.
Some days back my kid nephew kinda accidentally stuffed more than 2 DVD's inside my PS3. I tried to eject them but I get a kind of cracking sound whenever I try and they don't come out.
So is there anyway I can get them out possibly without having to open the system? I tried the method mentioned on Youtube i.e. switching offf the PS3 then pressing the Eject button and then turning on the system again, but no luck.
if its a slim ps3 then there is a manuial eject screw, that may work
linky
if its a fat ps3 then think you'll need to open it up
Did you try pressing and holding for about 10 seconds?
if that does not work, I believe it is covered by the manufactures warranty .

i doubt more than one disc put in at a time will be covered by sony as its not how the device is ment to be used
Thanks for all your suggestions. I had to open the console as the 10 second gig did not work. I was ably suppported by Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH-V8EgaEr8) in my effort.
So Now, I've got out all the stuck discs(there were 4) and screwed the top back on. But now a new problem:
I'm not able to insert any disc :Argh: When I try to insert one, there's something blocking the disc and it does'nt get inserted completely. I don't want to force this disk inside. It might get stuck again and then we're back to square one.
I don't wanna re-open it cos I'm pretty sure I screwed everything back on straight, just the way it was. The console display and other stuff are normal as usual. I guess it's the repair shop for me now.:smileysad:
4?? thats quite impressive lol

It's classed as accidental damage so it's not covered by them.
