The Best Way To Keep Your PS3 Clean!

30 Replies 1,047 Views Created 04-02-2007
I have had my PS3 for over 2 months now and I must say that it is a thing which looks amazing when it is clean, but it attracts dust like dog poo attratcs flys!!

So you will be cleaning it alot and I find that using a cloth is useless as it just pushes the dust around the PS3 and also scratches the surface.

The thing I recommend to clean your PS3 is a.............Hair Dryer.

Yes, a hairdryer. It works wonders, have it on full power and cold setting and the dust will just blow off. It wont scratch the surface as your not applying pressure on the dust, just blowing it away.

the easiest way to keep the ps3 clean is to not touch it, when you take it out of the box wear some gloves, then build a perspex box, with holes for air and a slot for the disc tray,

You will still get dust build up on the PS3. ever noticed how much dust builds up on the inside of your PC. you could have a filter to let the air inside and the rest of it would be airtight and cooled. :gr8:

You can buy cans of compressed air. It's a good way to clean off dust and lasts ages.

yeah i use compressed air but you gotta be careful as not to spray into the vents and this can blow more dust inside the system.
the PS3 looks beautiful but its def a dust magnet, i got a nice LCD on a black glass stand with the PS3 sat underneath it, dust city baby!!
i use some compressed air to blow off surface dust, then a fluffy duster which collects the dust then one of those pledge multisurface wipes which you throw away, works great but dust comes back pretty quick.

I just doesnt do anything. Push the on button nowt happens. I have got it in bits to see if the problem is obvious but its not. Its actually quite impressive the volume of stuff they can fit into the box.

Honestly sounds like a heavey component inside the PSU like the transformer may have come lose?
