Unable to update games (Help!)

4 Replies 218 Views Created 29-03-2013
Can anybody please help me.
My fat PS3 died last week after firmware 4.40 update, so I brought a 12gb super slim and fitted my 500gb hard drive.
I am getting the following fault codes when trying to install my games and there are updates for them
80710723
80710736
80711008
Occasionally it actually updates.
Is my new PS3 faulty, is my router or is it something I've done wrong?
Please can someone help?

Re: Unable to update games (Help!)

Why do you use the word "brought" instead of "bought"?
It's a serious question as I see it used more and more on this forum.

Re: Unable to update games (Help!)

It's an American term which is being used more and more in the UK

There's also the use of 'Addicting' in place of addictive and the phrase 'I could care less' Urghh *shudders*
Man this floor is freezing!

Sounds like a DNS issue - suggest checking your connection to your router. Might be a NAT1 type issue.

The "I could care less" has bothered me for years, I've pointed it out many times to Americans but they never come up with a decent reply to why they insist on using the term.

And thanks, that's the first time I've ever received an answer to the "brought" term, last time i asked the best answer I got  was "I wasn't sure if bought was a word" :Stupid:
