Hello to all,
I just got a PS4 a few days ago and I am experiencing an issue with BOTH controllers.
It seems that after about 10-20 seconds of not using the DS4 controller it just disconnects.
At the beggining I though it was the controller, but it happens the same with both controllers.
I checked the power settings of the controllers and they were fine. I set to be disconnected after 60 minutes of inactivity and even used the configuration of "off" to avoid getting disconnected and is still the same.
I also noticed that getting far from the console, lets say about 1 meter, the controller starts to underperform. Is like the controllers were poor on battery but they are not, they are full of battery.
Any idea of what this can be?
The DS4 are blutooth right? they should work fine around 5-6 meters from the console, isnt it?
Thanks for the help in advance, I appreciate it.
My situation is somewhat similar. I'll have two controllers connected to the ps4 and all of a sudden, the second one would randomly stop working. It's strange though because the light on the controller would still be on and the system would say that it's still connected and what not. I don't understand it.
Just to add to this thread, Ive had my PS4 for years now and no problems. About 6 months ago my dog destroyed my controller. It was the old type with no light in the front button. New controller later I’m getting much the same as you guys. So it’s the controller or a bad update. Now having to work through the list of suggestions to see if I can resolve the problem.
Yea same should I get a new controller
Hiya guys just to give you a update on what I found. I have totally repositiod my PS4. I have moved it away from the TV and the router. It’s now laying flat and facing me. For me anyway this has worked, something must have been interfering with the signal between the PS4 and controller. So guys try the easy things first. Hope this helps and cheers for all your posts.
I had all these same issues. Everything was working fine I took a nap and woke up and it first started with my turtle beach headset. The sound would come in and out so I figured it was the headset. I went out and bought a brand new turtle beach headset even upgraded a model and was excited to try them out. Got home and tried playing and had the lag issues with the controller and turning off and on and sound coming in and out of headset all of the same issues as others. I called PlayStation and no help they wanted me to send it in. Angry I went out and bought a whole new console. But I did a transfer from my old PlayStation to the new PlayStation and the following morning finally tried the new console and sure enough the same problems on a brand new console. Been reading this long thread and tried a couple things. I moved the console position which helped at first then the problems came back. Lastly I checked the browser history and it apparently transferred all my history from my old console to the new console. I closed any open browser windows and deleted cookies and history and it had a page still loading so after I cleared all that up and closed it that has seemed to help. Any one w these issues use PS4 for porn?
