Yesterday I felt like playing Watch Dogs 2, but when trying to open it up the PlayStation said “you need an an extra 164Mbs to play this game so I deleted some stuff from my capture library until I had enough space deleted. I went back and it still said “you need an extra 164Mbs to play this game”. So I though “fine, I’ll just play something else” but this is happening on all my games.
The day before this happened everything was ok, I could play all my games with no problem. I haven’t downloaded anything new in between so I don’t know what caused this. I have 25Gbs Of free space and I feel like that’s enough to start up a game.
Can an someone please help me!
PS4's don't like having less than 50GB free. If you have an external HDD that you can use, then move some games to that. Otherwise pick some games that you currently aren't playing and delete them to free up at least another 25GB. I'd go with a bit more to be sure
Does your system tend to just go into sleep mode, or do you fully power it off? Might sound cliche, but maybe try "Ye ol' faithful reboot"?
Rebuilding the database won't hurt to try either
Whatever the file size Watchdogs 2 currently weighs in at you need that x2,even though you may require an incremental update the game (which is wrong to be honest) is reserving the games full installation file x2.
I just checked the PlayStation store whether this is up-to-date since the games release Watchdogs 2 I don't know, Watchdogs 2 is just under 30GB which means you will need at least 60GB probably more if this doesn't accommodate updates since release.
I'm having the same issue, the issue is starting applications that have BEEN installed and previously worked with no issue, that now have this error without the addition of any new downloads.
I have tried to rebuild database, I have tried to delete things, we need some help Sony this is rediculous!
Free up more space you haven't got enough you're down to your last 30GB of available free space. A good idea maybe consider external storage,I have a 2TB internal and 3TB external giving me 5TB of storage.@Five_Six_Ace
You've got less than 30GB free?
If that's right, you definitely need to free up more space.
The system will normally grumble if it has less than 50GB free, then you should add extra on top for actual use.
