I want to "reset" my PSN account.

17 Replies 8,244 Views Created 25-10-2009

I posted this on the US forums too, i really need help with this.

Currently im on my FIFTH PS3 (others died from 2 YLoD's and 2 Blu-ray fails) and as you know there is a 5 system limit to a PSN account, so what i need is for my PSN account to get deactivated from all the systems it is on, im getting kinda paranoid here as i have alot of paid stuff on here and it would be HORRIBLE if my Slim PS3 were to die.

Is there any possible help i could get? i would GREATLY appreciate it.

Phone Sony and ask them to reset it. They did it when I had this issue.

i would be inclined to call anyway mate.

when i emailed sony with a problem, even though i had an automated responce telling me id get a reply within 24 hours, i heard nothing for 2 weeks. even then it was nothing to do with my original question. and i wouldnt get your hopes up with your account being reset. i have a friend on my psn friend list whos comment is currently 'sony are scum'. i asked why, and he explained they wouldnt reset his 5 limit after various faults, even though the systems arent in with him anymore. sonys answer to him was to buy it all again and there was nothing they could do.

Re: I want to "reset" my PSN account.

with most downloads from the PSN you can use them on 5 consoles.  When you get it reset they remove the consoles you previously used the downloads on.  So in this case he's onto his 5th console.  If that breaks he'd be unable to play the games he downloaded.
