What is an MVP?
A question frequently asked by newcomers to the community is 'What exactly is an MVP?!'
MVPs are our “Most Valued PlayStationers” – members of the PlayStation community who have helped make our world an enjoyable and interesting place to be by being friendly, helpful and generally decent folk. To other members, MVPs are representative of the ethos and atmosphere of the PlayStation community, and are there to encourage good behaviour and a fun vibe.
An MVP can be distinguished on the forums by having their PSN ID's in bold and having this symbol next to their ID . Their profile will look like the one illustrated below.
Their Roles and Responsibilities
As an MVP, their general aim is to promote good behaviour and a positive atmosphere in the community, whether it’s in a game, on the forums or any other place where our community gathers. This may involve helping out with events and competitions (and perhaps running their own!), welcoming new members and answering questions from the community, being a referee in a game, or even to become the Easter Bunny for a day.
MVP are not employees of SCEE, more ambassadors for the forum/brand.
Be friendly & helpful
As MVP's, their behaviour will reflect the ethos behind the PlayStation Community and many gamers and forum members will look up to them to see what kind of behaviour is and isn’t acceptable, so they need to lead by example.
A good MVP should also be a regular participant in community events, as well as a visible contributor to the forums and, wherever possible, online games. MVPs that are particularly experienced with and knowledgeable about a particular game will often be asked to “adopt” this game; to focus on supporting it and helping out with community activities or events based around this title.
Who are the current MVP's?
