ps3 won't connect to wireless: obtain ip address failed

4 Replies 21,888 Views Created 27-12-2010

So I went through the setup process and double checked my Internet password, and when I test the connection, when it tries to obtain the ip address, it fails.  It succeeded once out of the 500 times that I tried, but then it failed at the other one "Internet connection"

Re: ps3 won't connect to wireless: obtain ip address failed

have you tried to turn off your router for a few seconds? failing that, put your ps3 in the router's dmz. if that doesn't work post back and we'll ask for more details (name of router etc). good luck!
