Killzone: Liberation question

Alright, I have funds for the DCUO subscription but I know I can get £9.99 each month easy and considering my subscription doesn't end until later this month, I've always wanted to play Killzone: Liberation to continue the storyline after Killzone as I have played all of them except this one, so I'm willing to pay for this game instead. So my question is; Does this game play a major part in the storyline? Also, does it have an offline multiplayer mode (like Botzone)?

Re: Killzone: Liberation question

Personally, I think it is one of the best games on the PSP, it is excellent. It's totally different to the other games, it's not an FPS but it works very well. The story does give a of fair bit detail into the overall story, don't read if you haven't played the KZ2/3

Spoiler
it has you moping up the last of the Helghast and explains how they get their hands on the nukes they use in KZ2.

It doesn't have a botzone mode, unfortunately, but the is a bit of replay to it. There is also some DLC that continues the story, it's free, so make sure you get it. The online used to be brilliant, but I'm not sure if it's still going, if it is you're in luck.

Re: Killzone: Liberation question

i've just tried the online with my EU game but it doesnt work. i believe it was shut down some time ago.

however there is a work arround! you need to download (have a search arround here or on the official killzone forums for a link) the online patch & chapter 5, but it must be for the US version of the game.

copy over to your memory card you, leave the chapter5.bin file in the folder UCUS98646 (this is the code for the US version of the game). create a new folder called UCES00279 (this is the code for the EU version of the game) & in it put the eboot file you downloaded.

now start the game & click downloads. it'll try to go online to download the updates but cant. when you press circle twice it'll then install the updates from the memory card! thats it!

i did it last night & got online straight away! (there was about 20 people online) one thing though, i've had to start the game all over again as it thinks its playing the Us version of the game so doesnt read my EU save. its no big deal as i'm enjoying the game & atleast i get to play online!
