LBP Demo lockup on PSP 1000?

hi there

 

was browsing the PSN earlier on-decided to give the LBP demo a whirl

 

downloaded and installed-came to play it... loads the psp start screen like any other game-but then just goes to a black screen...

 

it's not the card cos ive downloaded installed and playe Rock Band Unplugged and the power adaptor is in....

 

any ideas?
