Remove the region lock: vote now!

I created a suggetion on the new Playstation Blog.Share site to remove the region lock so we get access to new games that are already available in other regions. I'm thinking about Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles for instance, or the recently added Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Let's hope that this suggestion gets enough votes so that one day this might happen!

Totally agree there. The US and EU stores should be unified. I think it's so stupid that the US store have Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles but we do not.

Same with the PSOne Classics, the US store have games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Suikoden, and we do not.

All signatures sucks, especially those with images in them.

I want to be able to buy the Japanese games (with English language available) through the PSN store as well.

Could one reason why this hasn't happened be due to different Rating Systems for each region (eg. EU has PEGI, US has ESRB and Japan has CERO rate their games) and licensing agreements may differ for each region. Just a thought?

Re: Remove the region lock: vote now!

If you're talking about unified PS Stores from different regions...won't happen. Sony are too committed to the regional approach. But I do think there needs to be greater content parity across the zones for us Go users. Why, for example, do the US have Ridge Racer up on their store and we don't? :xConfused: And why oh why do neither of us have Ridge Racer 2 - a game which came out in 2006, and arguably the best racing game ever released for the PSP??
