Is that option considered? Why limit this option to PS3 owners only? I mean, I won't buy PS3 anyway, especialy just for adding friends. I play on-line with my PSP and I would like to be able to keep in touch with those people i play with.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. Am I?

i wondered why they limited this option to the ps3, when most of the people that own psn accounts own psp's and not ps3.

i wont buy a ps3 just for adding friends, they have to consider it..

This might be possible but currently, this feature (ie. adding PSN friends to the list) is only available on a PlayStation3.  That is one thing you cannot do on a PSP at present.

Sony could be thinking of doing that but they have more time on their hands.

Some games carry this functionality, MotorStorm AE for example can access your PSN friends list when you go online. It would be great if this could be an addition in a future firmware update to have your friends list available on the PSP XMB.

Be easier to get a game going with mates at lunch time

I think you can add friends, can't check as my go is downloading FIFA 10, when I can check I'll post again

In my opinion they should have looked into this before bringing out the PSP Go. I'm not sure why I would spend an extortionate amount of money for reduced benefits. You can add friends to some games. I am currently playing Resistance Retribution and I have my own friends list but that's just the in-game list. I can communicate with them but another PSP downside is the difficulty in chatting. I heard some years ago that they were going to introduce a keyboard but it looks like the only keyboard they introduced was that for PS3. 

The trophy feature would be a blast, and it would be ideal if they stopped taking out multiplayer feature from some of the games. I love multiplayer in my PSP games but was a bit disappointed to see that they didn't have that feature in Little BIG Planet after I just recently purchased it :-/. They have it for PS3, not PSP. Didn't make sense.

I play online on games like motorstorm arctic edge where you can add friends on psp and this gave me the idea to add friends all the time.

I would love to have more Ps3 like options for the PSP like adding friends as many of my friends have a ps3/psp, but i'm not likely to get a ps3 unless some dude on the side of the street sells me one for about £100!

why cant PSN for psp be the same as the ps3? we can get updates so why cant we have PSN online for psp. xbox have better live but for 40 quid per year. why cant we (PSP USERS) have the same online as ps3. sony would be better if they did do psp online. i hope the next psp update has online.
