Re: Bluetooth Modem

yeh definitly call up and get the settings as thats the only way to make sure they are up to date and then you can post here for everyone else with the settings.

Re: Bluetooth Modem

lol, same here. Thanks for all the help :smileyhappy:

Seems to eb working a little better - on the Testing Connection screen, its taking a lot longer before getting the error - and now its error code "8030000B".

dial up = tried *99#   and tried the "obtain from bluetooth modem" option, which gives *991***1#

cgdcont=1,"ip","three.co.uk"

username = tried "guest", "user" and blank

password = tried "guest" and blank

Rang Three again, asked for the GPRS settings, they should be sending them to my phone direct. He wouldnt tell me over the phone! Bah.

Re: Bluetooth Modem

Question 5) How to use GPS with Google Maps (and other third-party products)

Thanks to one of our customers for finding this fix. If you find that Google Maps reports "No GPS Device found", try changing the following settings.

- Click on Start > Settings > System
- Click on the External GPS icon
- On the programs tab, select COM3
- On the hardware tab, select COM9 and baud rate 4800
- On the access tab, tick the tickbox

- Press OK to return to the system menu.

- Click on the Enhanced GPS icon

- Click Enable under XTRA Enable

- Press ok and then X to close the window.

Now load Google Maps, and from the menu there, choose "Use GPS".
Your Omnia will now use the built-in GPS to find your location smile.gif

Re: Bluetooth Modem

Well doing this sure as hell beats starting studying but I think the best thing to do is to phone up and ask for the gprs settings then post them here and we can see if we can figure it out from there. Also ask them for the command initalization although they might not know.

But for orange it should be

 at+cgdcont=1,"IP","orangeinternet" sony=5

Also when typing in things make sure there are no spaces at the end iv noticed that can happen on the psp.
