I have a simular problem, my PSP 3000 screen isn't cracked. But for some reason I have what looks like a 1 bit of a dust mark underneath my screen. I have no idea how it got there as I never opened it. I can't replace my PSP because it's no longer under warrenty.

I was thinking of opening my other PSP 2000 screen to expriement opening and closing it. But I think it would be very likely that whilst is likely I could get rid of the 1 small dust mark underneath my PSP 3000. I would end up with even more bits of dust once I opened it. So I will just leave it and hope that bit of dust (it's like a tiny white hair) will go.

who said you cant get it swapped ?????

Sony will swap it for you no problem the only thing is it wont be free it will cost you £60.  all you need to do is decide if its worth doing or not, if so the ring Sony CS and explain that there is a forign object under the faceplate thats obstructing the screen and you would like it swapped.

its pretty simple and easy to do and its a next working day swap. like i said the only thing is you need a credit/debit card to pay for the swap.
