I'm travelling in South America and am thinking about getting a PSP to kill some bus journey hours. I guess this part of the world is NTSC but I have a a PAL PSN account. Will I be able to transfer PS1 games and minis to a PSP over here?

hi. I think the psp itself is region locked for retail games (umd versions), but the digital psn downloads are associated with the psn account, and any region account can be assigned 2 any region console i believe. So, in short - psn downloads (unlocked) umd disks (locked).

The PSP is not region locked. I imported a US game, Metal Slug Anthology, and it works perfect. The only lock on PSP is UMD movies

And you can still access this PSN frpm there. If you want those games, you need to keep switching accounts because if you have the US account active, you won't be able to use games from uk psn unless you switch back
