I tried to get rid of my old 2000 series PSP yesterday down at my local CeX (and before anyone mentions going to game I tried and thay wouldn't take it with the shadow on the screen) and apart from the cracks on the faceplate (near the start and home buttons) the other reason they rejected it was because the LCD panel had shifted.
So is it actually possable for this to happen (even if it was dropped from a few feet) or was it that I got a poorly manufactured system.

yes its possible especially if you have dropped it a few times. all LCD pannels can shift if they are abused enough.

I guess you could try selling it on an online site like Ebay or Amazon MarketPlace.
Also just to ask, would any gaming store buy a 2000 Series without the warrenty sticker as I may be buying a new PSP soon and, I have removed the faceplate on my current PSP to clean dust from the screen.
