Not enough Space

Iv'e heard previous complaints that it takes more memory than it actually needed to transfer things, but Im having problems transferring first with a game but now with music. The music file is 3.5mb while I have 382mb remaining, that can't be right, can anyone help/inform me etc

Did you buy a cheap Memory Stick from China?

If so, there's your problem. They're fake and aren't as big as they claim.

If you have go and this is an internal memory problem, then no idea but next time say so from the beginning, lol.

I guess I should have been more specific haha, but no, i have a psp3000 and the memory stick was bought from Amazon and is a Sandisk one, and i've never had problems with them before.

From amazon store or from amazon marketplace? Do magic gate test if it is not supported you have fake, end of story.

Press Triangle on Memory Stick in any of XMB menus and select Information. Should say MagicGate(TM) Supported, even on SanDisk cards. If it says unknown, you most likely got fake.

Ive done the above and it does say MagicGate Supported. Is there anything else it could be?

If the memory stick is genuine and it definitely shows space but you cannot use it, the fault is still with memory stick. Flash memory has limited amount of read/write cycles to it. It may well be that some of the memory is lost already. Sorry, but this is what flash is like.

I want to bring this back, because I have new information which confuses me even more than the original problem did (I didnt want to start a whole new thread)

Previously (above) I stated I cant transfer a song of 3.5mb onto my memory stick which has 382mb remaining, however now i went to put on Dracula game which is 12mb and that went on fine without any problems, it just seems that i can't get any music on it (using medio go). Can anyone tell me any possible reason why games seem to go on fine, but i can't get my music on??
