Re: PSP - is now a good time to get one?

Cool, well I have a few questions:

1). Can you use a standard tv for the slim and lite tv plug in option?
2). Can you download the PS one games and other things from a PC rather than a PS3 from the PSN or whatever?
3). Are there any good deals you can recommend?

I am very tempted to get one but I don't have a PS3 so is it still worth it?

1). Can you use a standard tv for the slim and lite tv plug in option? Yes, but make sure you buy an AV cable. However, I don't think you can play games using this cable, you'll need a component cable for that. 2). Can you download the PS one games and other things from a PC rather than a PS3 from the PSN or whatever? Yes, you can download stuff from this site instead of using your PS3. 3). Are there any good deals you can recommend? While looking on Game's website I saw some deals for a PSP Slim + 1 game for £130. It'll probably be better to try places like play.com and Amazon as well. Re: PSP - is now a good time to get one?

Cheers, I have seen a deal for £150 with 2 games but I will have a look around today maybe.

I having a few doubts as I have heard that many seem to not be using theirs much which is what made me get rid of it the first time 2 years ago but then I missed quite a few games on it :smileyfrustrated:

Me too, so I got a new one and haven't looked back. I forgot how much I used mine to surf the internet, watch movies, and play music, as well as all the games I've missed in the meantime - I need some serious cash for all those games!

I also knew what I'm like for buying consoles twice, so I kept my saves backed up. It's like I never sold it! So in summary, I'd get one. Just don't do as I did and forget to buy a Memory Card :smileytongue:

I am currently in the same position as you. I do however have a PS3, but never bothered to purchase a PSP. I am now considering buying a PSP just for the 'Remote Play' feature. To answer your question, no if you do not own a PS3 then do not get one. Save your cash, get a PS3, then concentrate on PSP. Where as if you do have a PS3 then by all means get one, I am about to.:smileyvery-happy:

If you do get one make sure you buy a decent sized memory card.
