The PSPgo rewards scheme will allow you to kick start your Go collection with a couple of free games for those who currently own an older PSP.

What you'll be able to do is download 3 games from a selection of 17, these can either be games from your current UMD collection or 3 new titles.  The full list is as follows:

Killzone Liberation

Medievil

Wipeout Pure

Buzz Brain Bender

Buzz Master Quiz

SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters

Everybody's Golf

Resistance: Retribution

Syphon Filter Dark Mirror

Lemmings

LocoRoco

Patapon

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

Echochrome

Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice

Daxter

The process of obtaining these titles is as follows

1. Unwrap your shiny new PSPgo and start it up

2. Connect to PlayStation®Network and activate your new or existing PlayStation Network account for PSPgo Rewards

3. Start up your current PSP and connect to PlayStation Network

4. Login using the same PlayStation Network account , and launch PlayStation®Store

5. Pop one of your UMDs into the drive of your current PSP and register on PSPgo Rewards when prompted

6. Download a PSPgo theme

7. Wait for your email voucher for your three free games

8. Choose, download and enjoy!

This is going to begin on 1 October 2009 and will run until 31 March 2010.

What about the people, like me, who have quite a large back catalogue of games (both GTA's, Resistance, Killzone, Tekken, GoW, etc.) and play each of them on a regular basis? I think this is a good idea so sony arent just giving away games and people just buying pre-owned games and getting a free download, but for the original psp owners who have an extensive back catalogue, i dont think really its enough.

Can you clarify?

Is this the heralded Goodwill Program? Or is it purely a thank you for adopting the Go early?

The press release doen't mention the word "goodwill" anywhere but I'll assume that this is it for now.

What happens if you have already traded in your psp on a pre-order for the psp go and some umd games?

Does this means that I cannot get this offer. As I don't have an old psp.

I took a look at the list and worked out what games I want.  Of course you are perfectly fine to pick any of the games, and the game you pop into your old PSP doesn't have to be any of the games.

As I'm keeping my 2000 I want to select games I don't have already, so I'm going for

Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow

Pursuit Force Extreme justice

According to the press release you will need to have your old PSP with your PSN account active on it handy when activating the Rewards system.
