Hey everyone ![]()
Just
got a PSPgo? You'll be wanting to know how you can turn your UMDs into
digital downloads then! Here's the info on the promotion that I have.
Any questions - just ask, I'll do my best to help out ![]()
First off - you'll need a PSPgo.
Sign-in to the PlayStation®Network with your PSPgo
Then, you must sign in to PlayStation Network using your PSPgo directly via Wireless Internet. If you haven't registered a PlayStation Network account before then you will need to do so.
Download the PSPgo theme via the Store.
Launch PSN store from PSPgo. The PSP Store will display new category for the campaign called PSPgo Rewards. Activate the PSN account for that PSPgo by downloading PSPgo Registration product from the store.
Register a UMD via your PSP
Using the same account Launch the PSN Store via your PSP and browse to the PSPgo Rewards. Select to download the Rewards Slot. You will then be prompted to enter a UMD into the drive at the back of the PSP. The UMD will then be registered to the account.
Receive the voucher code via email
Providing you are eligible, you will then receive an email with a PlayStation Network Promotion Code. Please ensure that the email address associated with your PlayStation Network Account is correct and active. The email will be sent out no more than 30 days after you have registered your UMD, although it is more likely you will receive it in less than a week.
Redeem the voucher
After redeeming the voucher code via your PSPgo you will be presented with 17 games from which you select 3 to download.
Please note that you must use your PSPgo to redeem your voucher and download your 3 games. Should you use your PS3 console you will recieve error code 8010850e - copyright protection information is invalid.

3 games from a limited list - whoop!
I've got 16 games (most of which aren't on the rather limited list) what do I do with them?

This is bad comedy. 3 out of 17? I imagine many UMD PSP owners have far more than that.
I love to have the convenience of fast loading times, and less kit to carry about. So why not release a UMD drive which can copy UMDs to a memory card?
And what of this wonderful future of download only games and movies? Have you no compassion for the retail market. If not, how about the fact SCEE will now have full control of future PSP game prices?
