So very underused RSS function, what a gold mine!

Do you feel sometimes like you have found a treasure chest while browsing the Internet? Well, I did today when I found http://www.podbean.com/ and http://www.podshow.com. The first contains millions of audio podcasts, the second millions of video podcasts.

The best bit about it all is that you can add their feeds to your PSP and they will play!

You can try these for a change:

Audio: http://bash.podshow.com/feed/ Bash and Slash gaming news reviews interviews.
Video: http://vintagevideo.podshow.com/feed/ Pretty old black and white movies
Video: http://bestofyoutube.podshow.com/feed/ Best of YouTube (for those that complain they can't watch it on PSP)

How to add???

Open PSP WWW browser, go all the way to the left to File menu. Select Address Entry. Type in one of the above links. Pres start. When your browser connects to the feed you will see prompt "Do you want to add this channel?". Agree. After that exit the browser and go to RSS channel. You will see the feed you just added. Click on it. It will then load your RSS items from where you can download and save them.

Video will be saved into Video, audio into Music XMB menus.

There are many feeds out there but getting addresses id not straight forward but you'll figure it out eventually, or someone will. Enjoy brilliant RSS feature of the PSP!

Wow I didn't know that (even after owning a PSP for more than 1.5 years). Thanks so much!

It's a shame the RSS stops there, as adding RSS news feeds is completely useless on the PSP :-(

There is a reason for that. Text RSS feeds are usually links to full posts else where, and we all know PSP web browser cannot handle full pages.

Thanks for the tip! I've had a PSP for years and never paid attention to the RSS feature :Stupid:
