I don't know about overs out there but when I go looking for peoples comments on the psp go most of it is what I would call bashing, aka I hate this because it doesn't do backflips.
why cant people see it for what it is. What's not to replace the 3000 or to destroy the world as we know it but instead to offer a new option to gamers who don't have the time or space to carry and buy umd's. All Sony is doing is getting the attention of a new market who may have been part wooo'd by the 3000's downloads.
I hope someone out there thinks the same as me and think the people doom singing are a bit silly, Sony will not go under because of the go.
and I wish people would stop going on about there huge umd collections, if u have lots of umds that you love to play and have time to play then ur not really the target market for this machine

I bash the Go all the time but only when asked about it.
I don't go randomly bashing it, but if someone says "Hey, what do you think of the Go?" I'll tell them. If someone asks "Should I get a Go or a 3000?" I say my opinion.
Because I bought my PSP 3000 when the Go was out. And I have amassed in less than a month a 35+ UMD collection for so cheap because of the Go (On average £5 per game and what with trading in games technically even less, but trade is still cash so yeah, £5 per game).
Because loads are jumping ship and are flooding the market with UMD's so they're price crashing, so I now have a massive collection because of the Go, which I'm happy with.
However the ONLY reason I bash the Go, and the ONLY reason I didn't go for a Go when buying a PSP, was/is price.
Nothing to do with anything else, just purely and utterly price. Too exspensive for what you're getting and too exspensive to buy games for.
If it'd have been failry price I'd have went for the Go.
I think its features (Now that I know what they are) are brilliant and of course are a step up from the 3000 let alone the 1000 (I'd kill to have them on the 3000) the only things I dislike about the machine itself are... I think the controls are awkward as hell and its too small.
But I bash it for its price, and to be fair, that's not its fault, it's Sony's. They overpriced the unit and they continue to overprice the store. Let alone the price of the new memory cards of which you'll need them faster than before because your games will now take up massive amounts of room.
I reckon the UMD's I have would probably take up around 50gb.
So yeah, I agree its pointless to bash it for no reason, but when people ask...

Give it time the price on the go has to drop I got mine for a £180 at my place of work its just a matter of time same with the store fingers crossed but I think the prices on the playstation store are trying to match those of the ds a new release game on the ds can reaches just over £30 so I think this is one of those oh look they can do it why don't we! I hope they drop this mind set soon.
But lets not forget the ps3 release price 0.0 I was shocked at the time.

It is human nature unfortunately. Whenever a new model or version is released, there will *always* be people who have the older one who hate it regardless.
It is a shame, but the way things go unfortunately.
The saddest thing is, the Go does have limitations, and there is some valid criticism, but a lot of the criticism out there (not here specifically) is mainly uninformed garbage.

I can equally download games and carry them on my memory stick with my 1000 and 3000, did you know that? I guess not.

I wasn't, 'cause I'd heard it'd be £600, so I was happy with its price. I also thought "It's the cheapest Blu Ray player and I want a Blu Ray player" and it's one of the best spur of the moment buys I've ever done.
As I didn't want one because I thought the games looked naff, and indeed they were for a year but now they're AMAZING! ![]()
But anyway back to PSP Go...
I don't even think it's that there's no competition because End War was £40 to download on launch back when there was no Go and the UMD was £25.
I just think it's that they're morons and think that we are too, which is why they've always over charged.
Now though, they'll think that we'll pay it because we have to, because Go uses DO have to, because they have no other choice, they've got you over a barrel and they know it.
So PSP Slim days they just thought we were idiots, PSP Go days they know that we're totally dependant.
And it's why as I say, I went for a slim over the Go, so that I'm not dependant on the PSN.
I mean if we at least got the prices NA gets and to be fair the NA games (there's so many PSP PSN exclusives that I want from NA but can't get because of this 1 profile per PSP thing) it'd be better. 'cause how can they charge $10 for Holy Invasion over there but £24 for it here?
