Media Go Playlist

I can make a playlist with Media Go Version 1.1 but when I transfer it to my PSP it won't transfer?

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

Re: Media Go Playlist

PSP does not support the use of playlist files at the moment. Sony seem to have an idea stuck in their head that folders are playlists. It might be a feature in future updates with the news of that Sensme app, though it's most likey a Go! only app....***** sony

Re: Media Go Playlist

Hi Raz,

Thanks for your advice, I suspected it wasn't possibly,  but I just couldn't accept it.

Its unbelievable that in  Media Go you can create the playlist, right click and transfer and it shows up the memory stick, it just doesn't work.  Its worse because its just so close you can nearly taste it!

I'll just create playlists for now manually.

Cheers

Re: Media Go Playlist

Hi Aimmelov,

I don't know how to connect a PSP to a PC without  a usb, however here is my advice.

If the computer is a Laptop without a usb it would be very old and I wouldn't bother. 6 yr old laptops have a single usb.

If its a PC then I would buy a  USB card for the motherboard as they are very cheap.

Cheers

Re: Media Go Playlist

Hi Badenis,

When you say " I'll just create playlists for now manually", how do you do that? Isn't there still a limitation of one play list per folder or have you got a way to over come that?

Thanks.

Re: Media Go Playlist

I think he means that hell use folders as playlists, so each folder is a different playlist. playlist files such as m3u are only used to give the tracks in a folder (playlist) some sort of order hence only one playlist file being allowed in one folder.

As ar as your USB problem pjz, there is currently no way of transferring/connecting without USB, however if it's a USB cable you are lacking you can purchase a card reader of some sort to load files onto your memory stick.

[ Edited ]

You can now create Playlists in Media Go! and transfer them to your PSP, the playlists will appear in the playlist section of the Music icon. Playlists cannot be created on PSP though

Edit: However in order to do this you require Media Go! 1.2

Re: Media Go Playlist

I made something to create a playlist of the files that already arre on the ms.
Just drag and drop (from you ms) into the window(or frame, I don't know the exact word in english).
It can be usefull, do with it what you want.

Re: Media Go Playlist

Thanks jefkevermeulen.

But what exactly will this do?  Does this overcome the limitation on the psp and have one playlist play music in different folders?

Thanks.
