I'm probably getting it, but comments on the internet about it being extremely repetitive have dampened my spirits somewhat.

Odin Sphere is an action-rpg for those that dont know, with incredibly good graphics.

If my local rental store gets a copy then I'll probally give it a try as I can see myself quite enjoying it but I'm far too busy saving up for a PS3 to go and buy a brand new PS2 game at the moment

The Thunderbolt review from ages ago never realy made it look like an essential purchase

It's come at the wrong time unfortunately. Maybe if we had got it some time sooner after the US release i would have bought it, but there's just no time for last gen games anymore. Plus, i'm told it's very repetitive, has some severe slow down issues and is about 15 hours too long.

Looks like one of those games reviewers seem to love for some ungodly reason, when in reality its the type of game thats briefly fun for a few hours but few have the motivation to finish, and is generally completely overrated and boring. A little like Okami then, but at least that looked fun

I know what you mean Splidders, if i bought this I'd never finish it. (Happened with Shadow Hearts 3) But Okami was a different kettle of fish, that was just awesome start to finish. (With a 2/3 week break every 8 hours of course )

That was the initial plan but alas, I don't really have the time for any new games at the moment. I've been meaning to get this, Persona 3, Valkyrie Profile 2 and Rogue Galaxy, but I just don't have the time to dedicate to a bunch of 20-hour-plus RPGs.

I've got £25 worth of HMV vouchers to use at the moment though, so if Odin Sphere gets a release in there at a reasonable price I could be tempted.

A little like Okami then, but at least that looked fun
