Re: Do they still make PS2 games?

Well, despite owning a PS3 I decided to purchase a PlayStation and PlayStation 2 pre-owned.

I got the PlayStation for £4.99 in GameStation and I'd already bought Metal Gear Solid on eBay for £19.99.

I got the PlayStation 2 (original model, I don't like the Slimline one) for £49.99 in Blockbuster with Tekken 5, Gran Turismo 4, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Burnout 3: Takedown, and PES 6.

The best thing for me is that I'd kept my official blue "feet" vertical stand from my now long gone PS2 I got back at launch, so my pre-owned PS2 is using it proudly. It's quite odd seeing all three PlayStation's in a row, set up and ready to use. Even though my PS3 is 60GB I prefer playing games on the machine they were developed for ... I just can't be bothered checking up a list for "known issues", etc. I also picked up God of War for £8.99 on eBay, which came this morning and I have to say I am embarrassed I missed this title first time around.

The PlayStation 2 appears to have a remarkable amount of life left in it yet.  And some of the games like Tekken 5, Gran Turismo 4, and God of War look absolutely superb even today.

May i suggest buying 'GUN' for your new PS2. In my opinion, this game has to be owned by everyone. The graphics are awesome, and the gameplay is amazing. And you can pick it up off eBay for a few quid!

Yes, mostly 3rd party and kids games though, now.

Re: Do they still make PS2 games?

Yakuza 2 is released in september, and I look forward to play it very much.

Persona 4 is also a title that I might buy, if it's released in Europe, and if that happens, it probably won't happen until next year some time.

All signatures sucks, especially those with images in them.
