Never understood it myself. The MK games were always kind of fun but never more then a 7/10 at best.

For local multiplayer there aren't many games that are as fun as Mario Kart. As an overall game though I'd agree it's not particulary earth shattering. I can understand a 6 for the Wii version. They do essentially make the same game over and over with Mario Kart. Plus, I don't know if online was taken into account for the review but knowing Nintendo, it'll probably be broken.

Good score for MK. Well, that's what I think it should've got. MK: DD, even on multiplayer, was pretty damn ****e. Mk: DS, however, was awesome, went back to its roots.

I’m not a fan of the Mario Kart series either. I think Crash Team Racing is better in every aspect. The handling is too light and floaty, feels like you’re driving plastic toys. Whereas in CTR the karts have much more weight and grip. I dislike the basic visual style too. The scenery really lacks detail and looks empty, bland and dull.
