What's Your Favourite Video Game Mini-Game?

Video games are full of little quirks and hidden surprises, which often need for you to push yoursef to the limit to unlock. One of the things you can get/find are mini-games. Some are great, others less so. What's your favourite? For me, Free-Radical owns the mini-game metropolis. Their mini games in TS2 are amazing, I love playing both their twist on the mobile phone game 'snake' and the 'rocket ship one'. They provided me with endless entertainment, and are a nice break when things get really tough. In Second Sight (Free Radical again...) there is a great mini game, and a pool table right next to it, even more great stuff that took away a good hour or so.

I loved the (semi) 2-D Sparx levels in Spyro: Year of the Dragon on the PSone. They were so much fun, blasting all those bugs! Other decent mini-games that spring to mind are the fishing game in Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, the Winnie The Pooh games in Kingdom Hearts and the random Snowboarding sections in Klonoa 2: Lunetea's Veil. I'm into platformers and they're generally full of mini-games, many modern platformers these days are just a series of mini-games, one after the other, not that there's anything wrong with that (as long as they're any good)!

Re: What's Your Favourite Video Game Mini-Game?

I spent a long long time playing bingo in Dragon Quest VIII. Didn’t win once. The roulette wheel was really addictive too. The king of mini-games is Final Fantasy VII though. I was addicted to the basketball game in Gold Saucer. I must’ve spent thousands of Gil on the random slot machines too. It was just too hard to stop. Remember 'Chocobo Hot & Cold' in FFIX? Some of the Chocographs were really hard to find. That must've added on 20 hours to the lifespan of the game.
