k ive tried connecting  to my tv i get picture but no sound
the cables have the red,white and yellow connectors but the TV itself dosent have that
so i tried a scart connector and the same problem picture but no sound
if i turn the tv upto 100 volume wise i can just faintly hear it
is there specific settings for console play on the tv?

the TV is a 32inch samsung lcd tv

Can you try using another cable the one supplied with the PS3 are basically the same.

A scart connector is needed, so you're right there. However, I think you'll need to replace the cable and possibly the connector as I'm guessing there's a loose connection somewhere.

Get yourself an HDMI cable asap! You're missing out on HD graphics.
