PlayStation 2 Network Access Code

I recently bought a brand new PS2 Slim to play older games that don't run on my PS3.

With the system I got a Network Access Code.

I have registered the PS2 (serial & model) to my PSN account, but I can't find anywhere to enter the Network Access Code.

Can anyone tell me where to enter it or is this code now obsolete?

Official response would be most welcome, but anyone who know can reply. Link to source info if possible.

Thank you in advance.

Re: PlayStation 2 Network Access Code

I wouldn't worry about registering the playstation 2 network access code. All the games that used this type of login under the Central Station service have now been retired.

The game servers that are still up are mainly run by Gamespy registering to play these and network access can be easily done in game.

Re: PlayStation 2 Network Access Code

Thank you, just had to make sure since the code was included with the latest slim version that is "only" four years old. I was suspecting this was the case though.

Re: PlayStation 2 Network Access Code

The very last games have only very recently been retired which would explain the packaging of the code. My PS2 never came with one, however worked fine without it anyway :smileyhappy:
