Resident Evil 6

comfirmed, even a release date: Nov 20th! :smileyhappy:

Trailer here.

" Its regenerating............"  dont like the sound of that

Single player and co-op back again, and as long as it plays the co-op as well as 5, ill be happy! :smileyhappy: 3 playable characters who each have someone along with them ( which is where the co-op comes in i assume ), Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield and a Merc character who is related to an exsisting RE character.............Ingrid Hunnigan returns from RE 4 as does who i think is a grown up Sherry Birkin

who is the daughter of William Birkin who was the main Scientist who created the G-Virus from RE 2, so looks like getting back to its roots which is a + for me :smileyhappy:

Looks to be set in cities again which is another + for me.

Right up there with Borderlands 2, Ass Creed 3 and The Last Of Us as most anticipated game of 2012, another expensive year for me :smileysad:  But one im looking forward to!

Bring it!

Re: Resident Evil 6

Biggest gaming news in a while. The trailer absolutely blew my mind. RE6 instantly has over taken every other game this year to become my most anticipated game of 2012.

RE6 looks like it's going to have a bit from both the survival horror and action horror worlds of RE. Tall Oaks looks very RE2, which is my favourite in the series. Stoked Leon is back too. The China setting looks like a more action heavy area like the more recent RE. The mercenary bloke seems superhuman almost Wesker like in his movements.

Sucks that there is always someone with you. I think it loses some of the ability to scare you by giving a partner. The co-op is great fun in RE5 though.

Re: Resident Evil 6

My thoughts were, that it seems to be going back to a more traditional RE setting, without real zombies (no more machine gun toting majini?) and best of all, lots of night time. I'm starting to wonder if traditional survival horror is gone though. RE has taken that route, Silent Hill has even become more action focussed, and F.E.A.R which was genuinely good despite it's dated engine and level design, turned into a horror-ish action shooter with F.3.A.R...

This doesn't overly bother me, as RE has been more action focused since PS1 days? and I actually really enjoyed RE5, playing it enough to Platinum it.. Was tempted to download the RE4 HD Classic... may do still yet...

"Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Resident Evil 6's Executive Producer added: "From the outset the team's intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror. We are calling this fusion dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers."

I'm calling it.... Resident Evil is going to go 'Uncharted'... :smileywink:

Bite your tongue ol' fella! :smileyvery-happy:

As good as the UC games are, RE is still my fav series of all games, and to be fair on that trailer, it really only shows the action parts, im sure there'll be some pants crapping parts as well.

Agree with T-roc, the China scenes did look more action orintated, but hope they can still pull off some good classic " dogs through the window"  scenes

I might have to replay all the classics over this period. Good ol PS1 graphics will be a shock tho. I also never finished Code Veronica so I've got to cross that off the list.

I'm willing to give ORC a go even though it'll be action heavy. Hopefully there is a demo.

Re: Resident Evil 6

Shame on you, Code Veronica, while not as good as RE2, is a damn fine game nonetheless. Watched the trailer several times, looks very good. Hard to figure out who we're going to control and all that, but I'm sure that'll come out in time.

Apparently there may still be one Wesker alive. I wonder if they'll go down that path.......

Spoiler
I only ever got up to the bit where Chris first arrives on the island. Don't know why I never went any further. Probably because I never owned it.

Re: Resident Evil 6

[ Edited ]

On reading that again I probably should've put a ":smileytongue:" after the shame on you part, sounded a bit serious... Fair enough then, would've been a little hard to play it if that was the case
