A theme park game?

I dont know if its just me, but i have a fetish for Rollercoaster games, and thought it would be nice of sony to release a downloable theme park creation game on which you can build your own theme park and people can actually visit it online with friends and hang out in it.

Obviously sony would be at an advantage here as downloadable content is endless, they could bring out new coaster types, rides and other goodies to furnish your park with!

making sony a nice little profit!

anyone agree or is it just me?

Re: A theme park game?

I had Theme Park World for the PS2, was ok at first but got boring and frustrating after a while with all the punters complaining about prices, which I had to put up due to rising costs. Eventually they complained that much that I had to put prices down thus losing money!

Re: A theme park game?

If you have a Pc mate, you only need one game.

Rollercoaster tycoon 1-2-3 there all as good if you havn't played any of them before.

Sim themepark is extremely limited on the ps, same with thrill ville (if thats available on the ps?)

tycoon pretty much nailed it, one of the best game ever... stoped in the US top ten games for years:smileyhappy:

Re: A theme park game?

I was a fan of those games on the PC but I also agree they get limited. I'm sure someone somewhere is sitting thinking of a way to expand them. I also would love to see a SimCity game come out with newer bigger ideas. I new layout isn't enough. I got Civilization for the PS3 and to be honest didn't play it that much dew to poorly laid out menus and bad servers. I loved Civ on the PC but the idea of having powerful seamless online seemed great till they didn't deliver.

Here's an idea that's just come to me as I'm typing. SimCity of Theme Hospital or Park online, other people control sectors of the city or they the Mayor of the next city or Hospital or Park. Just an idea...

Re: A theme park game?

I liked Theme park world on PS2, but it felt dissapointing and too kiddy friendly after Theme park on the PS1 (My first ever PS1 game actually). But yeah, definitly  check out "Theme Park" on the PS.

There was a detailed (but slow) game called 'Rollercoaster World' on the PS2. It was good for somone who wanted to be a rollercoaster architect (like you) and nothing else. Checkthat out too!

Theme Park (PSX)

Rollercoaster World (PS2)

Both.

Theme Park and Theme Hospital are both on the store.
