COD 4.. Help!

Hey guys! My mate can't get online at all in COD 4, whenever he gets to the downloading settings screen, it freezes, it doesn't give any game options or anything! One night he left it for approx 4hrs & it still was on the downlading settings screen! He has played other games online & they work fine, does anyone have any ideas? Thankyou!!

Re: COD 4.. Help!

I hope this works for you buddy, I had this very problem and tried everything with no joy...untill I stumbled on this:

In your Router Settings, turn off your UPNP.

leave your PS3 UPNP settings to on.

Try with your Media Server to Disabled aswell.

I tried every setting possible so I know what wouldnt and what worked for me, so try and let me know how it worked.

Good luck...weaselGore.

Re: COD 4.. Help!

I forgot to mention, it will still say "DOWNLOADING" let it run for 5 mins max. Anymore could mean its still nacked.

Re: COD 4.. Help!

I used to get this alot - it's to do with the firewalls on your router if a rest doesn't work.

To get mine to work I put my PS3 in a DMZ in my router settings.

Just google you router make and DMZ and you should fins how to do it and then happy gaming!!
