DARK VOID or DARK AVOID??

Well, I heard some mag calling it Dark Avoid, but the demo I thought was not bad at all!   I have played far worse games that have been given decent reviews or ok reviews!

I was really looking 4ward to this game, but the previews really put me off.  The demo has made me think I will get it if I see it in store for about £30!

I know Amazon have it for £30.

Re: DARK VOID or DARK AVOID??

I was unsure whether to get it, though after trying the demo I found it a bit mediocre.

So I will save my money for perhaps Dante's Inferno.

Based on the demo its mediocre, not worth buying for me.

Would no doubt get bored within a few hours and start shouting at the TV when the game uses up its gaming cliche moments.

I tend to do that with mediocre games. OH WHAT A SURPRISE THERES AN EVIL MASTER OF DOOM WHO IRRATIONALLY WANTS TO KILL EVERYTHING AS IF HE HAS THE MIND OF A BAD 1980S CARTOON CHARACTER.

OH WHAT A SURPRISE HE SAID 'that stupid pesky action hero must be stopped'

OH WHAT A SURPRISE HE HAD A GO AT HIS GENERAL FOR FAILING TO DEAL WITH ME AND NOW IM FIGHTING THE GENERAL AS A SUB BOSS.

OH WHAT A SURPRISE....... Imagine charlie Brooker doing a live review and replacing his sarcastic wit with pure hate and a shouty voice.

Re: DARK VOID or DARK AVOID??

Downloaded, tried, quit deleted in that order :smileyvery-happy:

Flying felt ok, and better then i expected but the controls for the maneuvers was strange clicking R3 then moving both sticks in said direction. Very fiddly.

My 9 year old would find it fun tho :smileyhappy:

Flying is the only niggly bit, but once you get the hang of it, it'll probably be easy. :smileyhappy:

Re: DARK VOID or DARK AVOID??

Avoid. Downloaded, played, deleted. Another below-average game release that does nothing to improve on anything we've had before. The flying is basic, while the background is OK the main character and flying discs are usually too small to give a good impression of speed (apart from when you play the repetitive subgame of taking control of one after pressing the 0 button), and the ground combat is incredibly weak. Add a cheesy plot that's been done to death and you have something I wouldn't want from the bargain bin. Apart from that, it was great :smileyhappy:
