Yeah it's possible, it can depend on the angle of your cross, how early/late you hit the shoot button and where your player is positioned when hitting shoot.

anyone have any tips for volleys.....

im talking about when you cross the ball in, its heading towards your strikers neck/chest/stomach

you'v got space to really strike it hard on the volley and....

you end up doing a weird, weak header thing??

of course sometimes your guy shapes up and takes a nice volley, but when the ball drops in from a cross,

there have been so many times my striker just weakly heads it, instead of a powerful volley?

cant seem to control it on chest and then volley as chest control is awfull and the ball just bounces up by a mile and i get

tackled/musceled off

ah your correct to mention the online,notice u didnt say bout gameplay,fifa is slower than a week in the jail.got both but still tend to pick up pro evo for a quicky rather than fifa.

i dont get why people like pes .i played it once and thought wow and i thought fifa was bad.

nah but i regret trading in fifa as im in the mood for some football and pes ha too easy.i dont have it but a friend does and i think hes a fool for buying it.

anyway a tip for getting round players is the old 1    2 pass

Take your time in the game pass it about but not always to your back four and send players on runs L1 and give them a through ball or direct pass to open up your flanks

a lot of pro evo players have this problem because its not as fluid as fifa. pro evo is also 'fake' in as much as you can dribble all the way up the pitch without being tackled.

i would say pass the ball, even if it means going backwards. the aim is to take players and get them out of position. this means knocking the ball about and then playing a pass or through ball to your forwards. also try changing direction quickly, tap the r1 button.

when it comes to defending, just keep your shape. players who lose by eight goals or so are usually ones who come steaming into a player and miss. read the opponents next pass before he plays it. as long as you keep your shape and pass the ball you should be fine.

defending is simple but there are different types of players out there some like to pu the pressure on you so u make a mistake when i play these players i wait till they run towards me then make my move to an open player or place.....  there are also players who are casual and take there time with these players u can either press and force him to a mistake (but when doing this you are taking a risk) or you can play counter atack use the preeset for counter on ur d pad or any other straigies.....

also one other thing is CONTAINING L2 and thats all i'll say bout that u figure that out....

lastly make sure you kno the team you play with some players can run some can drible some can pass and some can shoot some can defend some are horrible u decide what team fits your style

.... one more thing DO NOT GIVE UP or get frustirated... keep your cool no matter what in the game
