Re: Games for children

[ Edited ]

I dont own it but i think it works more on shapes and hand gestures then on language from what i have seen so providing the child in question is old enough to play games i would of though they would be able to pick it up quite easily.

I know Heather has it so she will be able to comment on this more, but surly most games within the EU come multilingual

Does anyone know how well EyePet would work for a child who doesn't know a word of English? Is it language neutral (icons and such instead), or does it support other languages than English?

I have a friend whose son wants a pet. But my friend is reluctant to get him one. I suggested that a temporary patch may be EyePet, but he [the son] doesn't understand English.

There are parts of the game that are difficult for a very young child. For example, drawing the toys, keeping everything aligned correctly etc. But if your friends son has someone there to help him through it. He'll be fine :smileyhappy: I have a one year old and a four year old. They both love it.

Re: Games for children

Bumped!

Any newer games for kids out at the moment? I'm thinking particularly of downloadable games available on the Playstation 3 Network. My girls are 8 and 12. Downloaded Uno at the weekend, which isn't bad. What about something like Flower? Any good?

Re: Games for children

You could try Flower although i don't think kids would get the gist of it like us adults. But if its still reduced then get it!

I'm not to sure on PSN ones and since Heather made this list i don't recall any new games coming out.

One to keep your eyes on the is the new Sonic & Sega racing Kart game they they would probably enjoy and there is a demo on the store now :smileywink:

Re: Games for children

Another great thread go Heather  If I can just add Peggle to the list great for the kids, and Flower is magic after you have just had a heavy session on Bio 2 and AVP flower makes such a change. It might be a little to slow paced for kids but you never know
