PS3 Bayonetta

Hey! This is just a quick question on how well the patch works in Bayonetta. I have been staving off buying this due to the much rumoured technical issues, and am wondering how well the patch combats this (with the optional install).

Would I be dissapointed by buying it?

Re: PS3 Bayonetta

The tech issues were mainly hype..  I didnt mind the long loading cuz you get to prective your moves and combos but thats been reduced with the patch..   The tearing i never noticed once, not to say its not there just i was busy playing the game to notice any..

Il be honest tho i really didnt rate the game that highly maybe pushing a 7/10..

Then again i guess if your not getting any at home there is plenty of sexually suggestive material in the game..   But I actually think DMC 4 is better, Darksiders is better GOW, Dantes Inferno is better...

But its personal taste some people really loved this game tho i think its more to do with the sexual material than the pure button mashing and rather poor story..

Anyhow if your set on getting it yes the patch does fix loading times..

Re: PS3 Bayonetta

The patch makes the in-game menus and stuff more fluid, and skipping cutscenes is alot faster too after the install (which is about 4GB btw).

But the game itself is awesome. The combat is so seamless and works amazingly well, and the overall look and feel of the game is great too (even if most people think it's just a gratuitous lead character). Definately worth if you're a fan of Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden.

Re: PS3 Bayonetta

Download and play the demo and you will get an idea of the whole game, a few more diferent varieties of bad guys, a few more weapons you can buy and thats about it.

Parts of the game are interesting but its very samey all the way through or was for me.  And to be honest torture moves you never really bothered using after a bit cuz you wanted your combos higher to get more halos etc..

That said if GOW, DMC Darksiders, Dantes inferno are your type of game, get them first then play Bayonetta for me its just anotehr game in the genre, not a bad game in the genre but for me not the best..

Tho as the previous poster says he loved the game, play the demo.
