Where to sell games????

It's been ages since I've used a well known auction site and my feedback is good. Put 2 top of the range games on there, cheap for buy it now... and they didn't sell!!! (I won't say the games so I can't be accused of trying to sell them here!)

One of the games was released not so long ago and I was selling it with the guide for LESS than what people are actually bidding it too already ???

I went to Game - was offered £15 for the game (need the cash ASAP) and they wouldn't by the guide - although I got it from them!!!

Blockbusters offered even less....

So where do you sell your games? What's the best place that's given you cash instead of trade?? Don't want trade as there's nothing decent out at the moment (already got HAWX, Resi, Eat lead etc etc)..... hence need cash. Over spent LOL

Why oh why do all these games have to come out at the same time!!!!

Re: Where to sell games????

I just traded in a bunch of 360 games and if you trade in 6 titles or more they give you an additional 40% more for trade ins at Gamestop!

Re: Where to sell games????

Does Gamestop exist in the UK?

I usually sell my games on ebay and also on some of the gaming forums around - if need cash quickly, ill sell to cex or gamestation - blockbusters have gone downhill in terms of trade prices recently but then again they sell their games cheaply!

Would also recommend looking at amazon (takes ages to sell as your wait for a buyer to come to you) - musicmagpie.co.uk, tradeyourstuff.co.uk and speedsell.co.uk

Ive only used musicmagpie to sell cds, tradeyourstuff for selling games and not used speedsell yet..

Alternatively just walk into your high street store and see what they offer you..

Re: Where to sell games????

I always use eBay. GAME, and places like that, have always offered terrible prices. Most of the time, your better keeping the game, than selling it to them.

Did you include the 'best offer' option, on your buy it now listings? I find its generally better to include it.

Re: Where to sell games????

I think it depends if you want to offload a lot of games in one go or can be bothered ebaying them for more dosh. I recently traded in 13 xbox 360 games to buy my PS3 at GAME and I got just £120 off. After seeing how much they are asking for some of those games secondhand I feel I've been ripped off a bit. Not sure I could be bothered putting them all on ebay though, and I got my PS3 there and then.

Re: Where to sell games????

I sell mine on Play.com. I sold Call of Duty: World at War for £30 and got £26 when Play deducted the costs involved on their side. I then ordered Resident Evil 5 and technically only paid £8 for the game.
