Many of you know this by now, but in August 6th-8th three forumers - myself, jay0097 and teh-gamer will be attempting a game-a-thon of 24 hours straight to raise money for the sick kids hospital in edinburgh.  We will be updating you all on a thread here on the official playstation forums so we will be looking for all of  you to support and challenge us along the way!

Please post any challenges you'd like to set us, or times you'll be on and what you're playing.

We've raised £119 between the three of us so far, so thanks to anyone who's sponsored us!  If you want to join our merry band of sleep deprived adventurers you can by checking out the blog and creating a virgin GIVING page

I'd be up for this, but i will have to wait untill closer to that date to see if i could manage it, staying awake for 24hours then having work or some important stuff the next day would be a disaster, i'll have to sleep for 24 hours to make up for all the time i stayed awake lol.

Ah ok it says, as an example 7pm friday to 7pm satardy,, NO PROBLEM, i do this anyway, just get a few cases of beer in and play MW2 for 24hours straight, i can do that no problem m8!

nice one man!  Yeah they'll no doubt some MW2 played by some participants.  I don't have the game myself tho.  Get your virgin page set up, and welcome aboard!!

 What game you guys going to be playing? Sounds like a great thing to do!

I'll let the other guys speak for themselves, but I'll be playing a few different games I think.  To make it easier I'll set myself some targets nearer the time (specific trophies, scores collectibles etc) and post them on the blog.  At the moment Its looking like:

- Uncharted 2 (I've been saving it for the marathon).  People say its about 12 hours so it might even take up half my time!

- Singstar I want to test out the new online battle mode, and it'll be good rest for my weary thumbs!  Similarly, my friend is bringing his wii so we can move about when lethargy sets in...

- Warhawk.  We'll be looking to host a SKSP room at some point.  I'll post the details on here, cause we're hoping to have a thread running throughout our marathon letting everyone know what we're playing and how we're getting on...

- Red Dead Redemption  I think I might be grinding for the online trophies, and there's quite a few particpants who ahve the game so maybe a SKSP posse?

-Final Fight  I imagine we'll need some mindless arcade nonsense towards the end of the marathon. 

I'll also have my PSP running Puzzle quest in the toilet :-P
